The NFT market is undoubtedly on fire & as that fire rages, it can be hard to see through the proverbial smoke. Traditional art, photography, and music are coming into a space that is dominated by Pfp (Profile picture) type projects such as Bored Ape Yacht Club & CryptoPunks.
Ownership is one of the main reasons why these traditional disciplines are moving towards blockchain technology. The entire entertainment industry is known for using the talent and determination of artists to enrich themselves while leaving these artists with little to no money, NFT’s are changing that. Not only are artists being empowered but now collectors of art are being given a chance to own the works of their favorite creators. This new way of distribution and collection is posing a huge threat to the “Gatekeepers” of the entertainment industry. A new sense of community between artists and collectors directly beyond the middle man has emerged.
This new community is creating outside the scope of the mainstream & has made so much noise that these companies, record labels, and auction houses have bent the knee. We will witness a wave of creators entering this space like never seen before. It is known that artists move society forward. In the old paradigm, creators were held back due to a lack of financial compensation. The chains that bound these artists will disappear & the true leaders of humanity will emerge.
Where does photography fit into this new world you might ask? Well, just like any other creative outlet photography is a vital part of the human experience. Think about it, our social media lives have been based on photographs. Whether it’s pictures of ourselves, places, or things we’ve encountered, photography is a major part of our overall expression. Photographers have had it hard in this social media world that we now find ourselves in. Countless photos have been saved and used by all of us, the question is, have the humans behind the camera been compensated for their work? A very high percentage of photographers have not been given money nor the respect they deserve. With blockchain technology taking over photographers now have a way to protect their work & also connect directly to potential buyers.
Pioneers such as our very own Justin Aversano & Issac “Drift” Wright have knocked down the door for photography NFT’s. The popularity of “Twin Flames” & “Where My Vans Go” have sparked a mini bull run for photography. Gary Vee who is a huge advocate for NFT’s and blockchain technology, has toted photography as the “Next big thing”. Here at Quantum Art, we’ve worked hard to maintain great quality & community, constantly pushing the envelope and surpassing our own expectations. We are currently sitting at number 3 all-time in sale on OpenSea and have no plans on stopping. As photography continues to sore, we will continue to be trailblazers for not only digital curation, but for the love and energy that is often ignored in this space.
NFTs are the biggest scams we’ve seen in 100 years. Get out while the gettin’ is good because the jig is up
